Frank Nakao attended Waimea High School, University of Hawaii and Woodbury College in Los Angeles. While in college in majored in Business Management and minored in Accounting. After graduating he joined the Air National Guard. During his military tour he join IBM as an Inventory Control Specialist handling the Los Angeles area. After working at IBM for 4 years he was hired on at Union Oil Company in the Western Region Accounting and Statistic management group handling the Western region oil and gas area. After 3 years in that department he joined the audit department auditing the marketing functions in Colorado, Arizona, California and Hawaii for Union Oil. After 5 years with Union Oil Company he formed Beneficial Capital Corporation with his brother financing real estate properties in Los Angeles. During this time he secured the following licenses: Personal Property Brokers License, Commerical Lenders license, Consumer lenders license and Real Estate License.
After 4 years of brokering real estate loans he formed Greystone Capital Group, to warehouse loans. With a warehousing line of $25,000,000 Greystone Capital would fund its own loans and loans from other brokers eventually selling the loans off to AID and Great Western.
In 1992, Frank Nakao moved back to Hawaii and joined Universal Financial as a partner. In 1997 he joined Spectrum Mortgage as a Mortgage Solicitor. In November of 2009 he joined Harbor Financial as a Senior Mortgage Consultant.
